EU lists harmonised standards decision for high-risk AI

·1 min read

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/2274 of 12 October 2026 concerns harmonised standards for high-risk AI systems. The standards were drafted in support of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The decision is listed as published in the Official Journal on 14.10.2026.

The underlying legislation, known as the Artificial Intelligence Act, lays down harmonised rules on AI and amends existing EU regulations and directives. It provides the legal basis associated with the harmonised standards covered by the implementing decision.

The European Commission identifies its Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology as the contact point for AI matters. Requests about the content and availability of European standards should be directed to the European Standardisation Organisations.
