Keepit launches AI Truth Cloud for verified AI data
Keepit has launched AI Truth Cloud, a platform aimed at making backup data a trusted foundation for AI systems. The company is positioning copies of business data stored outside production systems as more than a resource for compliance, recovery or ransomware response, arguing that AI agents and models need verified, governed data before they are used in operational decision-making.
The launch is built around Protect, Observe, Recover, Prove and Integrate. Initial product areas include AI Connector Backup for protecting AI-related assets such as agent configurations, skills, projects and models with point-in-time restore, Keepit MCP as a headless API layer for connecting Keepit-managed data to AI tools and workflows, and AI Safe Room as an isolated environment using immutable data copies for training, inference and testing away from live systems.
Keepit says its vendor-independent cloud gives customers an independent source of data outside third-party software providers. Planned developments include AI agent behavioural monitoring, automated compliance evidence generation, cryptographic data provenance and AI-driven threat rollback, though no launch timings were provided. The company is also introducing an independent software vendor partnership strategy and says customers including Quanta Services and Phoenix see demand for auditable, immutable data in AI workflows, particularly in regulated and public sector environments.
