CMS platforms add AI for content creation and personalization

·1 min read

Content management systems are moving beyond their original role as publishing backends. AI features now help teams plan what content to create, improve how it performs, personalize delivery for different audiences and continue refining material after it goes live.

The shift is especially important as companies compete for visibility in traditional SEO-based search and in AI-generated answers and recommendations. HubSpot Content Hub uses Breeze AI to speed up writing and personalize websites with customer data, while Wix uses natural-language tools to generate websites, create content, improve SEO and manage CMS collections. WordPress powers more than 40 percent of the internet and is adding AI-assisted writing, translation, optimization and workflow automation through Jetpack AI, WordPress VIP and third-party integrations.

Enterprise and developer-focused platforms are also embedding AI across content operations. Sitecore Stream AI supports content variations, localization and adaptive experiences, while Adobe Experience Manager uses Sensei and Firefly for content organization and on-brand production. Salesforce Experience Cloud combines Einstein AI and Agentforce with customer data, Sanity AI Assist works with structured content models, Storyblok AI Assistant supports drafting, translation and asset management across more than 200,000 projects globally, Contentful AI Assistant helps teams reuse structured content across channels, and Webflow AI generates site elements, automates CMS workflows, optimizes AI-driven search and supports access through MCP.
