SlateWorks wins ABBYY hackathon with mortgage auditing tool

·1 min read

SlateWorks Global Solutions won ABBYY’s hackathon at the fourth annual ABBYY Ascend Developer Conference in Bangalore, India, with ABBYY Intelligent Mortgage Auditor, or AIM. The solution combines ABBYY Document AI technology with GenAI and retrieval-augmented generation to automate mortgage document review, including compliance validation and operational decision-making.

The hackathon welcomed more than 25 teams and required participants to integrate third-party AI tools with ABBYY technology. SlateWorks used ABBYY Vantage within the broader SlateWorks AI Platform to correlate information across loan applications, tax transcripts, AUS reports, bank statements and other mortgage documents, detecting mismatches and anomalies against regulatory guidelines in real time.

Judges highlighted AIM as ready to deploy and focused on a persistent enterprise challenge in a heavily regulated industry. The system flags non-compliant issues, recommends operational actions and provides a conversational interface designed to help mortgage auditors follow GSE and investor guidelines.

The winning team received cash prizes, automatic entry into ABBYY’s 2027 Most Valued Partner program and a fast track into ABBYY’s Innovation Hub. DevCon also featured a live demonstration that processed documents into structured DocLang output at 500 pages per second using ABBYY FineReader Engine and OCR technology.
