Cognizant launches EMEA unit to scale agentic AI
Cognizant has launched an EMEA AI Unit to help enterprises across Europe, the Middle East and Africa convert AI ambition into enterprise value. The organization is aligned with Cognizant’s AI Builder strategy and brings together advisory, engineering and delivery teams to build, deploy and run agentic AI systems tied to client business context.
The unit centers on Cognizant’s Frontier Deployed Engineering offering, a delivery model intended to move clients from experimentation to scaled business impact. It includes three service models, Foundation, Accelerate and Transform, covering AI strategy, governance, technology choices, prototypes, production deployment and broader workflow reinvention through multi-agent delivery squads.
Cognizant said the unit is already supporting clients at different maturity levels, including one of Europe’s leading online fashion retailers and a global pharmaceutical leader. The retailer is using an AI factory model that can compress development cycles from months to days across areas including supply chain, inventory, returns, customer experience and margin protection, while the pharmaceutical work focuses on multi-agent systems for drug discovery, clinical trial design and regulatory preparation.
