Pure DC secures €1.3 billion for Finland AI campus

·1 min read

Pure Data Centres Group has secured €1.3 billion in committed senior debt for Phase 1 of its Seinäjoki AI campus, known as SJK01, in Finland. The project financing was arranged with SMBC, ABN AMRO, Citi, Societe Generale, and Natixis CIB, expanding the company’s mandated lead arranger group to five institutions.

Phase 1 is fully leased and will support investment of over €1.5 billion in a 110MW AI facility. Pure DC said the first data hall’s substation is constructed and live, with planning permissions and power requirements secured. The site could scale to a +€7.5 billion, 550MW+ campus for AI workloads, subject to permissions and contracting.

The latest deal brings financing secured in the last 12 months to over $4.2 billion. In May, Pure DC announced $2.7billion in financing, including a $2.15 billion facility for its Dublin and Amsterdam campuses and expanded corporate-level financing to $550 million. The Dublin campus is designed to deliver up to 150MW of IT capacity, with 54MW currently permitted, while the Amsterdam facility is fully leased and under construction.
